PanAm and The Carpenters Union

As The Pan Am and Parapan Games come to a close expect coverage and columns about what the Games meant to this city from a business, economic and tourism perspective. Over the past seven weeks, nearly 7,000 world-class athletes from North and South America and the Caribbean arrived in Toronto to compete in 41 events. The games united the city as Torontonians travelled to venues all across the Greater Toronto Area to watch and cheer on athletes.

We are proud of the contributions that you, our community, has made to create the beautiful venues and accomodations that housed the games and its athletes. Today, we want to recognize our friend and proud #IIDEX15 sponsor, Carpenter's Union Local 27 for all their many contributions to the Toronto 2015 Pan Am & Parapan Am Games. They donated not only the time and skill of 15 of their journey persons and apprentices to construct all 157 podiums, but also all of the materials needed to build the podiums, ramps and related signs. Piddi Design, a Carpenter's Union contractor, built all of the ramps for the Para Pan Games.
